McCrosson & Stanton, P.C. has roots which extend back to 1925 when Robert K. Bell established his law practice in the "Bank Building” at 801 Asbury Avenue, Ocean City, New Jersey.

Ronald L. Taht joined Mr. Bell's firm in 1961 and the two practiced together until Mr. Bell retired in 1986.  That year,  Michael P. Stanton began his practice as Mr. Taht’s associate, and the firm became known as Taht & Stanton, P.C.

Dorothy F. McCrosson and Mike first practiced together in 1998 when the Law Offices of Dorothy F. McCrosson merged with Taht & Stanton, P.C., forming Taht, Stanton & McCrosson, P.C.

Senior Partner Ron Taht retired in 1999, and the Firm name was changed to McCrosson & Stanton, P.C. in 2010 when the practice relocated to its current offices at 200 Asbury Avenue, Ocean City, New Jersey.

Paul M. Stanton joined the Firm in 2021. Jonathan F. McCrosson, joined the Firm in 2023, returning to Ocean City after practicing in Philadelphia.
